hi all,

looking to get floors sanded, repaired, waxed(?) in most rooms of new house (gulp).... Not brave enough to do ourselves so can anyone recommend companies in south/south east london (ish) that did a good job and kept the mess to a minimum!

Please also let me know companies to avoid!

Would love to see before and after photos if you have them too!

I'd avoid one called 'Great Floor Sanding'. They did a terrible job on our floors and we eventually had to get the job done again by a different company.

Noted - thanks!

Were the other company good though?

They were, I would have said earlier but was trying to dredge the name up from my memory. I'm pretty sure he was called Along the Grain, based in Woodford or similar.

edwardsflooring.co.uk/ (Bromley) sanded and waxed our parquet from a horrific, tatty, paint-splattered state to brand spanking new, and kept everything spotless in the process.

Edwards Flooring are booked up until at least October apparently... any other suggestions out there?
