Have sold and had offer accepted. What do I do now?

Very excited to have had an offer accepted and so have our buyers so our chain is complete. I'm spending hours mentally organising the new house which if it goes pear shaped will be a total waste of time. What can I be doing now to help with moving?

Searches are taking forever with some councils so get solicitor to order straightaway. Try to get your PIF and F&F forms complete ASAP and ask about your vendors. A lot of it is prompt response to enquiries, paperwork etc and hopefully your solicitor will have online portal where you can update things and check stuff promptly.

Start getting rid of stuff you don't want in your new house. I'd put of selling big furniture though until you exchange, just in case. But you probably have a lot of stuff you don't want or need, now's a good time to organise it (you may think you did this when you put your house on the market, but empty closests, sheds and lofts and you'll be amazed- the amount of stuff that came out of my understairs cupboard was a shocker)!
