Hi
Thinking of moving to between mount pleasant road and old town area (border of the ore area).
Anything I should know?
Property is poor condition but had good views
Currently live in London
No kids

I don’t live in Hastings but know it fairly well and very nearly bought a property there.

Ore is a bit cheaper than other areas but it is close to the old town so I can see it creeping up soon. It was on Location, Location, Location a while back may be worth searching for it.

Mount Pleasant Road is quite a mixed road.

The old town is a hike to Hastings MLR but given the location of your property if you get the timings right you can take the marshlink from Ore to Ashford and get onto a high speed train to St Pancras. I think there is only one marshlink an hour though.

There is part of Hastings College in Ore and as well as engineering etc affiliated with University of Brighton it has adult education evening classes including how to restore sash windows!
