We (27 and husband 31) are looking to move from Hertfordshire to the Alsager area looking for advice on the villages nearby with a sense of community where possible. (Currently living in a village with around 3000 people - happy for smaller)
We visited Alsager which was nice but a little big and busy. We also saw Barthomley which was great and had lots of countryside on the doorstep which is ideal.
Prefer older properties which are upgraded/barn conversions around £400-500k close to good schooling/activities for the kids (5yo & 1yo).
Husband works in Keele and seems like most villages are within the 30 minutes commute.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
