Want to move but to where?

Currently live zone 5, really want to move out a bit further into Kent. Thought we liked kings hill west Malling but that is total opposite to what we like!. Need at least 4 bed, off street parking and garden.

DS starting college in tonbridge in sept and DD needs to be able to get to central London for work without a huge commute. DH works in Kent and can transfer to any area, I work in SE13 and will commute until settled in house and happy to do so as know it's will be short term then I'll look for something nearer new home (both NHS)

Maidstone looks like a good option but such a huge area, any one have any experiences to share or can suggest any other areas?

Sevenoaks or Tunbridge Wells? Or if you prefer more of a village life then Wadhurst, which has a train station on the Hastings line into Tonbridge and London. Maidstone is ok but quite sprawling and difficult to drive through and into at times and also a fairly lengthy route by car to Tonbridge. You might also look at the village of Staplehurst for good train links to Tonbridge and London.
