Painter/decorator

We recently moved, and for the first time ever have decided we’re going to get decorators in rather than do it all ourselves. I have inflammatory arthritis and in the middle of a really bad flare.

The 2 teenage DD want white bedrooms, there’s wallpaper on 3 walls. So stripping that, painting room white and redoing skirting boards etc - chap has quoted us £750 and says it’ll take 5 days (us buying the materials)

This seems a lot to me, but would be great for other opinions

That's for the two rooms? I guess it depends how big the rooms are and what your walls are like and how hard the paper will be to take off. He will also have to prep the walls and get them smooth for painting. Why don't you get another quote just for comparison?

We redecorated last year - I think that sounds reasonable

Regular trades are £150-200 a day if that helps

That quote sounds about right to me, no harm in getting another estimate though.

That's £150/day. Sounds normal.
