Bedroom Floor coverings Wood or carpet?

I will shortly be moving to a new bungalow and planning my floor coverings. I have been used to carpets in all my previous houses but quite like the look of wood / laminate flooring in hallway and living room. Almost certainly going for some sort of vinyl for bathroom and kitchen, but what about bedrooms? Do people stick with wood or go for carpet in bedrooms? This is my forever home so taking the time to think things through. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

If its just adults with no pets and no allergies then I would put carpet down.

Otherwise you will end up buying a rug and non-slip underlay to put down near the bed to step on when you first wake up in the morning.

I like floorboards and rugs but my partner likes carpet. I think it’s a really personal choice and either is fine.

Entirely personal choice. I have floorboards and don't feel the need for any rug.

It’s a personal choice but if it was me I would put carpet in the bedrooms.

Thanks all. I was thinking carpets but was wondering if they would look out of place if different to everywhere else

I’ve just decorated my spare bedroom and am putting carpet down

We have bare floorboards stained a black brown. They are not cold at all, in fact they are as warm as carpet. They are also smooth to step on but not slippery. I have carpet in my kids rooms but I'm considering pulling them up. The floorboards look so much nicer and are easier to keep clean. Its personal taste mind you. I'm not a huge fan of standard laminate

We're in a bungalow - we have wood in the hall, bathroom, dining room, kitchen areas. Three bedrooms are carpet and one wood (from moving in). After living with it a while I'd prefer all the bedrooms carpet. I don't know if it's a bungalow thing with no stairs to mark the move from living space to sleeping space but it helps the bedrooms feel 'softer' for sleep.
