kitchen ideas - ignore the colour

the tall cupboards are fridge and freezer. The range will probably be swapped for a double oven and larder unit.

Any thoughts? There's a utility through one of the doors.

It's a 5 bedroom house and this is the new kitchen/garden room extension.

Any windows or natural light for the kitchen bit or is it just on the dining area?

BeechTreeView · 22/04/2021 18:09

Theres a rooflight above the peninsula bit but that's it.

Looks amazing. What’s through double doors?

RandomMess · 22/04/2021 18:23

I think having wall mounted cupboards both sides makes it look smaller/claustrophobic.

Cocoaone · 22/04/2021 18:27

What are the measurements of the room?

HeyMicky · 22/04/2021 18:33

I think having the sink there will be a PITA because you'll get people walking behind you all the time

If nothing else, switch the sink, range and microwave combination to the other side, swapping with the fridge and freezer and worktop combination

HeyMicky · 22/04/2021 18:34

(Even with the door)

It looks beautiful! If it were my kitchen, I would probably put one long wall of the tall units (pantry, double ovens, fridge, freezer) all on the side where the range currently is, and I would put both the sink and the hob on the other side (and I'd do the upper cupboards all the way to the ceiling to maximise storage). You don't want to be working in the middle of thru traffic, and with the sink and hob on that other side it will also be easier to serve/clean up food at the peninsula.

The plinth on the left hand side of the drawers, the ones which oppose the stools, can you get a slim wine store in there? It seems a bit of a waste to just have a plinth, assuming you don't need it structurally.

I also agree with @HeyMicky re people having to manoeuvre around you at the sink.

Linguaphile · 22/04/2021 19:12

Ah sorry, am just looking more closely and I think maybe on that wall opposite the range you've got double doors coming into the room...?

Do you have a floorpan handy?

Sleek cabinetry, none of that grooved stuff
