We found a house 6/7 weeks ago now. Just heard from our sellers they have been messed around by barclays trying to sort a mortgage (?) and have a meeting with natwest bank today.

Does anyone know how long it will be with natwest from this point of making an application? We went through a broker with nationwide , got our offer pretty quickly after the valuation in a matter of days.. we were hoping for exchange mid to end may..worried this could hold us up quite a bit, they dont seem to be using a broker..

Does anyone know?

Our natwest mortgage took about 10 days from application to offer. That included a valuation, so it was very quick indeed. Hope that helps!

We did a mortgage extension with Natwest recently. The total predicted times were days not weeks... it was very quick our only delay was the valuation because surveyor couldn't get out due to snow, which was then delayed again because we contested the valuation and then delayed again because in the meantime our advisor went off with a personal emergency. Even with all that it was only 5 weeks start to finish so I think 2 weeks is a realistic timeline.

We’ve just had a mortgage offer from NatWest- it took 6 weeks in total, including Easter. I think we needed a couple of extra weeks for some non-standard parts of our application (e.g. our solicitor wasn’t on their panel when we first applied which caused confusion)- so I’d guesstimate 3-4 weeks.
