Flight noise in Menston

Grateful for some advice please! We’re considering moving to Menston but are a bit concerned about potential flight noise from Leeds Bradford Airport - can anyone say whether the noise (pre-COVID) is an issue?

I live in Horsforth - so a little bit closer but on the other side - sometimes the planes are so low over my car park that I feel like I can wave to them but the noise doesn't bother me at all. And it's certainly not continual.

I don't notice at all when I'm inside.

I live under the flight path for a different busy airport, close enough that I can look up & read the logos on the bottoms of the planes. I found that after a few weeks the noise just stopped registering.

Lived in head on for years, 10 min walk from the tarn (which is next to the airport). No noise issue at all.

I live 8 miles from LBA and hear planes all the time before Covid, learn to get use to it. Went to school in Menston and never really use to hear the planes tbh.

Thanks everyone - I think I’d probably get used to it, just need to convince my other half!

We used to live in menston! We never had any plane noise and had crappy old sash windows, that was about 5 years ago though, but can’t imagine it’s changed dramatically in that time. It’s a lovely village! We live in london now and often wish we could find somewhere similar here
