Can we fit a curtain rod to this window?

We have quite a tall sash window that sits directly below the ceiling coving and not sure if we can make a curtain rod (for eyelet curtains) work? Dont really fancy trying to fit it to ceiling, but would it work if we fitted it along the top of the frame itself, ie just below the coving? Or is that too low? Help please!

If you’re doing eyelet curtains you’ll have a lot of bleed at the top. You can probably fit a metal rail for pleated curtains in that space. Could that work for you?

If you want the look of how eyelet curtains hang then you could look at wave curtains. The track is ceiling hung but very discreet
