WHY do people do this!

For the last three months it’s been us, our FTB and our seller and their seller, who weren’t buying anywhere.

We tried to exchange today to be told the sellers seller are waiting for a mortgage offer!

This is our fourth attempt to buy in the last year, all other houses have fallen through and our buyer is getting impatient. Any success stories of pressuring the top chain to break it? All of us are packed and ready!

Sorry to hear this - its a bit sneaky of them! Can you attempt to renegotiate price to get them to consider moving into rented...

Where were the sellers sellers planning to go after completion? Our seller had already bought smaller place before putting theirs on sale.

How come the top of chain solicitor was told ready to exchange by other solicitor? They usually don’t attempt to exchange til all in agreement.

How absolutely rubbish for you :(

The were planning to move in with family as they flip houses for a living. In fact, originally they tried to part exchange our sellers house, but couldn’t get the funds. Now we are being told we are waiting for their mortgage offer, which is worrying.

Can you break the chain to keep your buyers?

I think we will have to, but will need to move miles away to stay with family and we are worried that they won’t even be able to get the mortgage.
