What’s your budget? Are you thinking about a Splash of paint or rip it all out and start again? It’s very brown, but a big space so loads of potential!

Depends on budget. I’d rip it out ans start again, and put a new floor in. But if you’ve no budget then painting the units would be a start

Before I did anything to the kitchen I think I'd be tempted to open up the back with some nice doors if you have the budget. It would be nice to get more light in and better connection to the outside.

It is a lovely big space.

No budget- paint cabinets light pink or green/blue with brass thin handles. Rip off wall cabinets. Rip off tiles. Replace with white subway tiles and paint in a light colour. Consider a open shelf on each side of the extractor fan.

Block the back door and open the window for a big door

That gives you a better space for worktops

Either rip out the chimney breast or make a feature of it like this
