Hire a toilet cabin, buy camping toilet or something else for builders?

We are having renovations, new roof and windows being done to a currently derelict house. Indoor plumbing is broken so no toilets. We are living in van on site which does have a toilet.

Should we hire a portable loo cabin for the builders, or do they normally bring their own for larger jobs (I assume at a fee)? Another option is buying a camping toilet or let them use the loo in the van. We've already had some works done, but not one has asked to use the van toilet, hence thought they might prefer and use a seperate, builders only one?
What is the expectation from others working in trades or on derelict homes?

My DH is a builder and for jobs with no onsite toilet they hire one. I presume it's built in to the cost but probably worth checking with your builder?

Our builder had one delivered - it was included in the quote.

I lived next to a complete renovation and I couldnt believe it didn't have facilities. Rightly so it has to have a toilet.i would ask them what they prefer/what is included

Ours was built into the contract. It’s been very useful when we’ve had people visiting us recently. Also they empty it periodically.

If it's a long term project it should be factored into their site welfare facilities and included in the price. I had work done outside a few weeks ago and figured the workmen could come in to use the bathroom if needed (I have two so could have kept them separate) but they never asked and seemed to take it in turns to go for a break so i assume they went to a local supermarket or home at lunch. They were only here a week in total with 2 different teams a few days each.
