Reproduction tiles in an Edwardian house

We're considering installing classic reproduction tiles in an Edwardian house we recently purchased (the outside path and hall). If you've done the same, do you think it was worth the expense? (They do seem really expensive). Are they wearing well, easy to clean? We have one DC (6 months) and two cats. No plans for more children, or more cats.

Following with interest as I've just been looking at the Topps Tiles website and my eyes are watering! I know Karndean and Amtico also do it but unsure of pricing per square metre. TT looking like £190/sqm.
