Changing agents

Hi all, I posted a few days about about our house for sale.

How easy is it to change agents? Has any one had any dealings with Reeds Rains Blackpool, do you know if we are tied into a 12 week contract with them?

We signed all the paperwork moving week, it was all chaotic as my DH had been working away and came back the last week to help us move. He can’t remember what he did with the paperwork and I can’t find it anywhere.

I’ve just been talking to the agents we bought the house through, I’d have liked to use them but with covid, isolating and everything else that was going on it just didn’t happen and I ended up using the agents that could do everything in between everything going on. Anyway she’s really surprised about the lack of viewings (not had one since 27 March), also was shocked they asked to reduce the price after just over a week and a few other things. She knows the house location well as she lived on the same street and her children go the the school 200yards from the house. She’s wondering if we are being fobbed off and they are doing viewings because they have to travel to our house and not prioritising it because she’s being inundated with enquiries for properties in the area, I believe this as it’s consistent with what I know about the area.

I asked reeds rains to change my lounge photo to the one I have with furniture and was told they couldn’t as it was deceptive because the house is now empty, is this true?

I'm confused as to who 'she' is, but reducing the price after a week is unacceptable, as is a sub par service.
It is perfectly fine to have photos with furniture even if it is now empty- you are not selling it furnished.

Sorry was a bit worked up when I wrote this post. She is the agent for the original Estate Agents we bought the house through. I’m kicking myself for not using them as they are local and have a good reputation.

I’ve now got a copy of the contract and we are tied into it 😤

Other agents will always be surprised by lack of viewings... it’s part of their technique to get you over to them.
If you haven’t got any interest at all it’s not the agent it’s price.
