We would like to get some light from the back of the house, new kitchen, into the study - which is very dark and north facing.
Don't want to open up completely between them as the space will be too large and too open.
Thinking of putting in an internal window between the two, or new glazed french doors, or vintage reclaimed stained glass doors in keeping with age of house.
I'm leaning towards a window as to get from one room to the next you just go into the hall.
Anyone any advice on internal windows.
We can't go all the way to the ceiling because of a delicate plaster ceiling that is unlikely to cope with that much of an opening.
