Is land registry house price data still taking ages to publish?

Hi folks, hoping someone who knows about property registration can advise.
I very nearly bought house A last year, but went for house B instead. I wanted to see how much house A had sold for in the end to check out if what the agent told me was actually true. House in question sold in May 2020, price paid is not up on the Land Registry website yet. Could it really have taken nearly a whole year for them to publish the purchase price? It was definitely bought by private individuals, and not a company or corporate body.

some houses just seem to never show up. It happened with a purchase I made, nothing funny about the purchase but just never shows up on any of the searches

We bought/sold in March last year and the data only went on a couple of weeks ago.

We put an offer on a house in August, moved into it November and it's only just updated so yes it's taking a while.

I think it’s generally three months but Covid could have delayed it, I also don’t think it always appears either, sometimes private sales don’t I think.

Also have you checked zoopla? My house doesn’t come up on the land registry for some odd reason but what we paid for it is on zoopla,

Thanks everyone. So either one of those mystery ones that never shows up, or just taking an age. I'm curious as they told me my offer would be rejected and they'd already had higher ones that had been sent packing.... I smelt a bit of a rat :)
@Bluntness100 not on Zoopla either but thanks for the idea.

I've sold two houses and they have never shown up. And once my purchase did not show up. No idea why, but it does skew things when people look at price history (I mean other sales of the house are there). One history looks like sold: £140 then 167k. But I bought it for £105 in between those dates.
Also the price history doesn't specify other factors: price history for one house: sold £350, £200, then £480. But that's not the true story as the house and land was divided up in to three parcels between first figure and second.
Can you call the land registry direct?
