It’s gorgeous, though I’m not sure how practical it would be to live in...the spiral staircase, the garden needs work, the kitchen. It also looks dark.

I’d live in it with DH .... kids not so sure.

Interesting because I thought the opposite, that it was light and quite practical. Couldn't afford it but would love to live there with our kids, it's gorgeous. I mean the kitchen is not at all in keeping with the rest of the place but I could live with it until we could change it.

Shudder I could never live in a church however nicely it's been decorated, even the windows give me the creeps!

It's a bit odd that there's 5 bedrooms but not a single photo of a bedroom other than what appears to be a mattress on a floor.
It looks like a money pit to me!

Having previously owned a genuinely gorgeous and sympathetically designed church conversion, I think this one is a bit sad. They’ve lost so many of the original features in creating the upstairs and the kitchen and living room just look like strange afterthoughts when they should be the integral focus.

Some parts are lovely though, I do really like the full view of the floor to ceiling window from the upstairs double doors.

Damp patches on all the walls, the photo of the white wall with the front door in it is almost certainly photographed from the busy A39 (which is less than 3 metres from it which is the main road south of Bristol and if you look at the map you'll see it is virtually surrounded by the River Sheppy which would suggest a big flood risk to me.

You lot are so practical. To me its just a fantasy!

The kitchen is pure suburbia. Totally out of keeping. It seems to have lost a lot of character in the conversion process.

For a moment I thought it was going to be one that friends live in - not too far from there. My friends' home is done far more sympathetically to the building and has so much more character (but it is cold and dark, for all its beauty!)

Sorry about the suburbia comment. It is someone's home. I'm quite PMTish today which is making me unnecessarily barbed.

I don’t think it is to my taste either. It’s like someone has put on completely the wrong clothes for their body shape. The fittings and furniture look all wrong- wrong scale, wrong style etc. I’d just buy a Victorian house, a lot easier to style.

The upstairs is lovely but the downstairs is just really badly done. It’s like a dated semi. Not for me.

I like a well done church conversion but this one is horrible - that kitchen looks like it belongs in a Barrett new build.
