I'm thinking of a window like this alongside 2 large sliding doors with narrow black metal frame for my new kitchen extension rather than the classic sliding doors all the way across- The window will be the first but of the back of the kitchen you will see as you enter the kitchen , the new kitchen will have kitchen at one end and soft seating / tv area at the garden end - so thought it would be nice to have this as part of the sofa end / corner of the room - any thoughts ? window would be approx 1m wide x 1.5m tall - the sliding doors will 2 panels 2.4m x 2m - the width of the room is 5m

I love these windows and dream of a window seat. I looked into the cost of one with a different company ID systems and it was about £8k which made me reconsider.

I think it would be amazing if you have the budget for it.

They’re very nice. But I expect they’re the kind of things you’ll spend an awful lot of money on and never end up using. I think in reality it would not be as comfortable to curl up there with a book and a cup of tea etc etc as you think. What would you actually do with the seating area? Is it really functional? Instaworthy yes, but I think that’s it!

I think cost for our size is £3500 but then an additional sliding door which we would need with the ultra thin frame if we didn't have window would be over £2k so would rather get what we really want just not sure ! We've never done any major work like this ! and doubt we will be again
