Property Deed Covenants

So, we moved into our home a few years ago (bought) and we have cats and dogs. We were looking into getting ducks and some one advised us to check our deeds. Well it turns out we apparently shouldn't keep any animals (dogs/cats included) without written consent from the association (Muir). I know it's my fault I should've checked the deeds, but no one we know has ever heard of this in relation to general pets, i.e. dogs.

So my question to you lovely people, is have you ever had the same thing? Did the association give you permission to keep pets or not? Will we have to get rid of our pets (which we've had since before this house)

Thanks x

I wouldn't bother getting permission for your existing animals.
