What design for our bay windows?

So I know style is personal but, I'm all Pinterest and Houzz'd out.

We have a 50's house with square bays, it's quite average looking with hardwood Windows. I've attached photos. The panes have blown and the rebate is too shallow for thicker modern double glazing.

The problem is the style isn't exciting but the wood being stronger allows for thinner frames, modern uPVC frames and chunkier.

We're going to have openers on the smaller side windows with none on the front.

It's seems the fashion is to split the front into 3 or 4 vertical panes, rather than larger panes, which I think means less light??
Colour anthracite to match the gutters, we've already painted garage and porch the same colour.

So tell me what style is best, more glass and less frame or over of two large panes, or splitting into 3 or 4 panes is more modern?

Bit of a ramble but thanks in advance

I prefer fewer panes of glass - reduced them in our old house and about to do the same here. Ideally I'd go for one panel across the front of your bay but two like it is seems fine to me. Whether that's modern or not...

Aluminium frames? They can be thinner I think

I don't vertical bars that split windows in half, it looks like big +s on them. I think 3 sections look nice. They're big windows so I wouldn't be over concerned with losing light from thick frames.idsystems.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/windows-with-openings-fullpage-optimised.jpg

I’d just go for one big pane of glass on the front.

We have large flat windows that are something like 3m wide by 2m high. They are split 3/4 one large pane of glass and 1/4 on the right that has two openings (vertical and horizontal at the top).
I live the uninterrupted view so to speak and don’t think splitting lanes looks more modern, if anything the opposite.

Think about escape (from a fire) and cleaning too. I've heard of windows that spin around so you can bring the outside side inside for cleaning. No need for a window cleaner.
