Kitchen extension...island and lantern

Kitchen extension on back of house. The kitchen will be half in the former snug, so dark and half in new extension lit by lantern.

It’s going to be a kitchen all along one wall with an island. The island won’t be centred under a lantern....it’ll be half under lantern half under snug roof.

Is this going to be difficult to light? Look daft?

Need to add a layout.

Mines the same. Won’t you have lighting in the sides just under the lantern?

I might start another thread with plans. As there’s other thought too.

But yes will have lighting round under the lantern.

I'm putting my lighting around the lantern on arms so that I can direct the light . You can also run a bar across the lantern if necessary.
