Bought a new light fitting which is one that comes with its own ceiling rose and far to much flex.
Instead of installing this whole new ceiling rose and coiling the cable inside it, can I just cut off the excess cable and connect it to the existing ceiling rose?
It's neither heavy nor metal and the ceiling roses supplied with these new lights always stand out so much from the ceiling.
I've been trying to Google it, but assume it's such a basic question that I can't find an answer.
