Buying flat just outside of Crossrail safeguarding zone

My solicitor has just had some searches back for a flat I'm planning to buy. It's already around 0.25 miles from an overground station but the search shows that it's also just outside of the Crossrail 2 safeguarding area.

I really don't know what to make of this. I guess an increase of rail noise is possible? Any thoughts or experiences?

If it's outside the safeguarding area there's not too much to worry about. This is a good starting point to understand what the safeguarding area is for crossrail2.co.uk/discover/safeguarding/

There could possibly be disruption from construction (but not for a decade, if ever, as Crossrail 2 hasn't got funding and doesn't fit with current government levelling up policy). But on the other hand, if it does go ahead, you'd benefit from value uplift from the transport improvement.

Thank you so much, I hadn't actually seen the latest news about it being put on hold. I've read up on it and feel more reassured now.
