Trying to decide whether to refurbish or replace a number of 1960s original Crittall windows. They are not in too bad a state, but not good enough as they are. They have very early double glazing in, very thin and misted up. So the glass would definitely need to be replaced, and I don’t know if it’s possible to source such thin double glazing any more.
Any experiences?
It may be easier to replace with aluminium windows, but that could open up a whole can of worms as the house isn’t standard construction and the windows are installed in a more complicated manner than normal.
