Has anyone got bamboo flooring?

We're looking at replacing the flooring in our open plan downstairs area (so entrance hallway, living room and dining room) and considering bamboo as it's apparently more durable than wood.

Has anyone gone with bamboo already, and can share their experiences? Or recommend where to purchase from? Have looked online and there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of suppliers (and a lot are out of stock right now).

Thanks!

I’ve got it in the dining kitchen and conservatory and would never get it again. It dents and scratches very easily then the dents get dirty (even tried cleaning with a toothbrush). It’s lost all its sheen where it has foot/chair traffic. Plus it has faded a lot in the light. We got ours from Direct Flooring so probably not the best quality in the first place but never again.

We have it in the hall, think it was only B&Q, it was a lacquered variety, its been down 10+ years with pretty much constant traffic. Love it and still looks great.

But, when we tried to buy the same flooring for a kitchen diner, the type we had had been discontinued and so the type we bought was nowhere near as good as the original stuff and scratched really easily. We replaced it with another kind of bamboo flooring (think from a company called bamboo flooring or similar) it was fine, but looked like laminate. I didn't like it and replaced it all with engineered oak when we had an extension.

If we could find the stuff we put down in the hall, I would definitely have that again, but have been underwhelmed by other versions.

I got my bamboo flooring from the Bamboo Flooring Company (strangely enough). I wouldn't recommend either the floor or the company.
My fitter moaned about it constantly- it splinters and he didn't like working with it. It also buckled (that might have been the fitters fault, though he had a lot of experience) and I had to have it relaid. The company itself- well, no idea of customer service. I was covering quite a large area and needed some quarter rounds for the hearth and didn't order enough. I needed one 1m quarter round. The shipping was about twice the cost of it (far more than the actual cost of shipping) so I called to ask, as I had just spent a considerable amount of money with them, if they could send it for reduced rate (or even free). I got exactly nowhere. So I'd never use them and here I am telling you not to as well. (In the end I got a pine quarter round and stained it. It was such a small piece you can't tell).

However the floor itself has worn well and I can't fault its appearance.
