Brick build conservatory with solid roof, plastered walls etc and it becomes like an extension. Extra room is always good!

I suppose it depends on your current conservatory foundations.

They are 1m deep, from drawings, not confirmed

We had a new glass proper roof put on our conservatory, clad walls, new windows doors radiator etc and took the sliding doors out between the adjacent room .
New carpet through both rooms.
It’s amazing. Apparently if we want to ever sell, the doors go back in so it reverts to conservatory not extension!
We are not ever moving as it’s own downsized post children leaving home house.

I guess it would only meet building regs if you upgraded insulation.

We had a conservatory and looked at upgrading it and knocking through. However we would never have met the new thermal regulations. In the end we had it knocked down and a proper extension built and it's great.
