Moving to Dorchester

Hi

We are considering moving to the Dorchester area from West Yorkshire with our 2 boys aged 9 and 10 and wondered if anybody could give us any tips on the best areas and what its like to live in the area. We like the idea of a nice village with a good community feel but close enough to Dorchester and within the Thomas Hardy School catchment area and also a good primary/middle school area as my boys have a couple more years before starting senior school.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t live in Dorchester but near by. All the villages are pretty nice really, so difficult to pick one out. Personally if I had school age children, I would live in Dorchester. Public transport is poor, so you would be doing a lot of driving to let them access clubs, leisure centre etc.
