We have an old house (parts going back to the 1500s and 1700s), but completely renovated around 2000 after being semi-derelict for years. We moved in about a year ago.
Every time we flush a loo anywhere in the house, the pipes start making an unholy gurgling sound. It's loud enough in some rooms to wake up someone sleeping. There is a water tank in the loft which I think supplies the toilets.
Is there any point in getting a plumber to look at them, or do we simply need to live with this? Tradespeople seem to be like golddust around here, so I thought I'd gathet some opinions before i embark on many hours of trying to entice a plumber to our house.
