Combi boiler

Can anyone recommend a reliable combi boiler? After months of low/no pressure, loud noises and now having to reset it every time we need hot water, we’ve decided we have to replace our old combi boiler.

We’re not looking for anything fancy. I’ve done several online quotes but they’ve all come back with a different suggestion. We’re a small three bed detached house with 2 bathrooms.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks.

Can't speak for other brands, but my VAILLANT is still going strong after 32 years.

We've got a Worcester that works really well.

If you have their remote control system and install a water softener, they take the standard 7 yr warranty to 10 years if I recall.

Thank you. We don’t have much luck with boilers, we’ve managed to break four boilers in 15 years - would love to get anywhere near 32 years!

Can’t afford a water softener as well but am leaning towards a Worcester as their guarantees seem good.

Our water softener wasn't expensive, it's one of those magnetic ones that you attach to the main water pipe as it comes into the house.

We also have had a considerable drop in gas consumption as the boiler is very efficient.

Worcester Bosch & Vaillant are generally accepted to be the best boiler brands, both offer good warranties & perform well in Which tests.
