Lacquered mdf vs acrylic painted wood/plywood kitchen

Two kitchens we have been looking at and I would just like to know the pros and cons of each? Lacquered mdf (matt finish) vs acryllic painted timber plywood kitchen doors?

We have young children and would like something that will last a good amount of time, with maybe option of being repainted in future.

Thanks everyone!

I have both cheaper matt painted/sprayed MDF units and more expensive matt painted/sprayed wood veneer units from the same company (DIY kitchens). I've only had them a few years but haven't noticed any difference in wear so far, and as far as I know both can be repainted easily (it's gloss and wrapped doors that are more of a problem for this).

Really the major difference seems to be texture - the wood veneer ones show the grain through (so probably hide any tiny marks better?), where as the MDF are completely smooth so if they do ever chip, it might be more obvious.
