This is a bit random but just want to get peoples thoughts and experience!
Background:
A couple of years ago we had our boiler replaced as our other one was so old and it just basically died a death. We had British Gas come out and a few other companies to quote us for a new boiler. The short and short of it was that if we wanted a new boiler, it would need to be moved to an external wall due to the change in regulations since our house was built 11 years ago (at the time). We live in a 3 storey semi detached and the old boiler was a huge thing on the middle floor in a cupboard in the middle of the house... the flue went up through the third storey and out the roof.
We went with British Gas due to them being reputable and also the cheapest of all the quotes we had been given. They installed our new boiler in our then spare room as it was the cheapest due to needing less pipe work etc... at the time having the boiler in the spare room was fine, as it was a spare room and not really used for much....
There is now the possibility that we will be staying in this house a few years longer than we had planned, and have another baby in this house which means moving my son into the spare room when the time comes... which is still probably a couple of years away but could be sooner.
Really don’t like the idea of him sleeping in the same room as our boiler. How much would it cost to move it elsewhere? We are really limited with where it can go due to our house being semi detached and 3 storey.... has anyone done this before? The boiler would just be loving directly above where it is currently (above the spare room is the master bedroom / en-suite but where the boiler would go is into the eaves space...
For info I live in the East Midlands.
