Hello everyone
Just moved house and the bath plug appears to be a chrome pop up one but it's just flush to the bath, doesn't pop up, it loose in a way you can spin it and the water just drains out. Is the problem that it's just the wrong size? Any advice on his to remove if it won't pop up? Thanks :)

You can normally unscrew them. When I have a stuck pop up plug I use one of the suckers you get for installing light bulbs

pull it out with a sucker or blu-tak and photgraph it please.

usually there is a bolt screwed into the bottom of the plug which you can adjust longer or shorter. If not locked in place with the locknut it may fall out.

Pop-up wastes are generally troublesome.

For maximum reliability, get a plug with a chain.

Clacker wastes are quite good.

p.s.

the one you've got might actually be a clacker. You push it down once and it comes up on a spring, you push it again and it locks down, you rotate it and it unscrews.

One of ours sticks, like others have said get a sucker to pull it up.
The reason ours sticks down is the rubber seal around the plug, if you remove the seal it works fine. I find if you rub a bit of oil/ lube on the seal it works fine for a while.

Oh ours is a clacker then.

Thanks for your replies everyone. Been busy unpacking but I will try and get it out and take a photo.

It's a pain because we are bathing okie baby in it and just filling it and bathing him quickly before it drains out Confused
