Am considering LG washer/dryer as my Zanussi has given up the ghost after almost ten years. Has anyone got any comments about LG appliances please o other recommendations other than Miele which is way out of my prices range?

I am kind of in the same boat now my Miele has started to fail on me... Even after having the 'all clear' from multiple engineers. Plus a larger capacity is handy for things like duvet and what not.

I am considering the LG FWV917WTSE but am wondering if Bosch would be my better option (a white one of similar spec is £1000, silver at £899).

Have you made your decision, and what did you go for?

Love my LG

My LG was great and served us well for over 10 years! It only recently snuffed it and it was replaced with a haiier HW100-B1439NS8_GH which so far (touch wood) has been really good and is putting up with the piles and piles of kids and dog washing! Grin

I have a 9kg LG and find that the drum size is about the same size as my previous 7kg Siemens. It doesn't fit a king size duvet.

If you can get a 10kg machine. I went for the cheapest machine I could find that offered a 5 year warranty which happened to be the LG.

We had a good old zanussi and replaced it around 4 years ago with an LG. That poor machine gets slogged by us, at least one load a day and then drying on top during winter. Touch wood it’s still in perfect working order

I’ve got an LG Direct Drive, it’s done us proud for 10+ years. It did have to have a significant repair early on but was still in warranty. It’s huge too, 11kg which really cuts down the number of washes I do.

Thanks I’m looking at LG or Samsung washer dryer now, not sure about the Samsung Addwash as it could break or leak.

We've got an AEG L6FBG141R Washing Machine, 10kg and it's fab.
