Thirdfort App

Has anyone used this? Our vendor's estate agent is asking for proof of i.d and asked us to go to their offices (approx 100 miles away!) with our passports and other documents to verify we are who we say we are. Obviously we can't do that at the moment so they have suggested the Thirdfort App. Has anyone used it? Is it free for clients? I've googled and can't get any answers.

The other option (which we will probably go with) is to ask our solicitor to certify copies of the documents they need. I'm surprised they are asking to be honest. I thought this would all be handled automatically by solicitors. We are in England and the estate agent is in Scotland if it makes a difference (though the house we are buying is in England!)

Thanks 🙂

Yes our estate agent used it and then when our solicitor wanted us to do the same on the app I told them we'd already done it for estate agent so they got copied off estate agent to save doing it twice.
