Outdoor cooking area

So the title sounds posher than it will actually be. We want to build a patio with part of it to have a sort of cooking prep area- it's more an outside cupboard with a worktop that we can put our bbq beside & have the plates of food to be cooked utensils etc on the top. Also to include some storage shelves & a space to store the gas when not in use.

Am thinking a brick built thing with a concrete top, stainless steel shelving inside but would like doors. What material could work for an outside cupboard door?

Treated (tanalised I think) wood

Lots of this sort of thing on Pinterest

I hadn't thought of wood, goodness knows why!!

Ooohhj I would love this. Again, plenty of inspiration on Pinterest. Add in a stone sink for outside cleaning of fish - we eat a lot of trout in the summer (thanks Dad). Would love an outside kitchen!

I lust over Vlaze enamelled outdoor kitchens, they are beautiful.

I'm drooling at Pinterest, I'd love a proper outdoor kitchen but can't afford it. Plus we're only after something small as DH is going to build a basic brick bbq - had one in our last house & it was brilliant

@LittleOverwhelmed we absolutely love our pizza oven, minutes to heat & pizza cooked in 2 mins. Gets used most Saturdays. Planning on having a pizza party once we're allowed
