Hi all, longtime lurker.
I've finally decided to bite the bullet and put my house back for sale. I tried to sell couple of years ago but chain collapsed. Was going to put it back on last year but decided to postpone with covid and job uncertainty. But now I'm ready !
Just wondering how much other people did with regards to getting house ready to sell? The market here for my kind of property is pretty good, if I walk around my estate or nearby ones lots of sold signs already and more coming up for sale.
I'm doing all the usual stuff. Inside it's very much clean, clean, clean at the moment! Will also start decluttering too. Outside I'm tidying up the garden (although it's still pretty good from its earlier winter tidyup) and going to get the windows/door/fascias cleaned properly.
Other things I've thought about are jetwashing driveway (or at least giving it a good scrub myself).
Not sure whether to clean the carpets? It would be a real faff to do it, and it's quite obvious the carpets are probably about ready to be changed. They're clean, but clear signs of tread and wear.
Anything else I've forgotten? I'm not planning to do anything like put new kitchen or bathroom etc, I didn't bother before and they're pretty neutral anyway.
