Wickes kitchens, quality?

I have had a search, but there doesn’t seem to be a recent thread.
We are currently trying to sort out our 15 year old house.
The kitchen walls are painted, none it’s choosing the units.
I did have a kitchen planned by IKEA, it as I haven’t been able to contact them and wasn’t impressed with B&Q I looked at Wickes.

I am mainly interested in the huge walk in larder corner cupboard as I haven’t been able to see one elsewhere.
Has anyone got one who can comment?

Are you able to link? I’ve googled & been on their site and search larder, walk in larder, large walk in etc etc & I can’t see it. It sounds like something I really want to think about putting in our kitchen. TIA.

Irritatingly, not can I!
The planner was supposed to be phoning me today - not impressed.
If he doesn’t call tomorrow, I’ll visit and ask the name.
Surely the guardian of fitted kitchens Dana will give me that piece of information.
She is a bloody horror story and, I’ll have nice Neil to plan it, but order from a different store so she doesn’t get the commission.

We've got a Wickes kitchen and I'm really happy with it. There's a few odd things going wrong now, like soft closures not working etc, but its been in for 10 years so I reckon that's OK! We went back to them for our bathroom 3 year's ago too....

Wait for the sale though, be nice to your planner and ask them when the extra discount weekend is on. We got a lot off.

Perfect, thank you.
Now I just need to find out the details of the gigantor cupboard!

Another wickes kitchen owner here and also about 10 years in now and it’s still in brilliant condition, ours, would def use again. Also haggled lots and didn’t use them for any appliances as mark up was ridiculous.

Has my wickes kitchen for nearly 4 years and still looks good as new.

Had our wickes kitchen 11 years and very happy with it. We also got a big discount, think they had a 30% sale when we went in to do the plans, then got a call to say there was an extra discount plus a free built in dishwasher.
After the fact I did find out that there was a website where you could buy their kitchens at a cheaper price and they would be delivered assembled. Afraid I can’t remember the name of it though, maybe someone else will know.

Fairly certain we’ve got a Wickes kitchen here (in when we bought the house but seller told us that was where it was from). It’s at least 13 years old if not more and is still doing ok - quality of units is good.

We fitted a Wickes kitchen in our last house, five years before we moved out. We were really pleased with it and in the strength of that, fitted another Wickes kitchen in our current house, three years ago. My daughter also has a Wickes kitchen in her house. They’re fab.

Wickes kitchen here too. We had it fitted in 2016 and still looks new and love it.

I loved the walk in ladder corner too but we didn’t have enough space.

Benchmarx sell Wickes kitchens too but mostly prebuilt. They only sell direct to tradesmen but it may be cheaper

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 14/03/2021 08:55

It’s some years ago now, but we were very pleased with a mid-range Wickes kitchen. All the bits arrived on time, too, and not so much as a screw missing.

trickyex · 14/03/2021 20:10

Benchmarx. Same units, much cheaper.
