Mattress toppers!

Hi,
We bought a mattress about 6 months ago and it’s too hard for us. I’ve spent ages looking for mattress toppers but generally people will say they flatten up after a few months, except for those used in guest rooms and not being used daily. I’m already annoyed I paid a few hundred pounds for something not good for us and don’t want to make another hundred pounds mistake.. :(
Could you please offer some recommendations on toppers you have used and are happy with? Budget up to £100

Thanks all x

I don't have any recommendations, but I would say do NOT get memory foam, unless you want to be sweating all night. I had to buy a special cooling pad/mattress topper to cover mine, and still it's too hot. I HATE IT!!

i use a duvet under my bottom sheet as a matress topper a lot softer and more comfy than a purpose made one

We have a deep one. From the White Company. They are good quality and ours doesn’t flatten much. You plump it up when you make the bed. Ours has a cotton cover. Always look for a natural filling. You might have to spend over £100 but it’s worth it to get a comfortable one.

Sorry, this is over £100, but it's brilliant. Devon Duvets' wool mattress topper makes a hard mattress so soft and cosy.

I use a thick mattress protector from John Lewis and its great. Padded/quilted cotton with edges like a fitted sheet

Thick Memory foam mattress topper, with bamboo infused cover was around £120 I think from mattress man - had it perhaps 3-4 years and it's still amazing

Thanks all, I just purchased this one: www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-synthetic-soft-touch-washable-dual-layer-6cm-deep-mattress-topper/p1519431. Fingers crossed it lasts for long enough to make it worth it! :)

Had same problem. Wool mattress topper from JL solved it. UK brand, just over 100 pounds, added luxury feel too
