Garden worries

My sale is completing in the next couple of weeks. My grass is horrendous all patchie. The grass part is only small about 7 x 5 with a trampoline on one side so bare underneath and ruined by the dog on the other.
The viewing was sept so after a good summer it wasnt so bad. It always somewhat recovers over the summer but obviously march is the worse it ever is
What should i do
Pay for someone to returf, seed and leave or just forget about it and move on.

I wouldn’t do anything but you could throw some grass seeds over it.

murbblurb · 06/03/2021 11:41

you don't have to do anything although you could. Turfing season is now if in the UK.

Harryfrog12 · 06/03/2021 12:10

Yes in the uk.
I feel awful to leave it but tight with money anyway as moving.
Im hoping once me and the dog have left then it will recover quickly anyway

Don't worry. They might be a bit miffed but can fix it. More important house is left clean and obviously no, er, evidence of dog in garden.

I would Chuck some seed on it as it’s quite cheap and a decent thing to do. Would also leave the new owners a note to let them know - it will probably soften the blow of seeing the garden in a state.

Midlifephoenix · 07/03/2021 02:24

I have rabbits amd they destroy whatever patch of grass they are on. I've no intention of 'making good' when I leave - as you say a few weeks of growth and it will look fine.

MrsJamin · 07/03/2021 19:53

By all means chuck some seed over it but don't spend money. All gardens look crap this time of year.

I wouldn't bother, you don't know what plans they have for the garden.
