Curtains and bifolds

Just planning out our new kitchen diner which will have a run of doors across the back. Do people usually have curtains? DH thinks they will look silly but I worry about people looking in without.

We don't and I personally think curtains spoil the whole look of a wall of glazing. We're not particularly overlooked though and our seating area (I.e. which we use in the evenings) is the opposite end of the room from the bi-folds, so it doesn't feel like we're in a goldfish bowl at night.

We have bifold doors and have blinds. If I had my time again, I'd opt for the built in blinds (within the panes of glass) as whilst expensive I spent similar on separate blinds.

We have perfect fit blinds on our doors.

We’ve ordered perfect fit blinds for our bi folding doors so all individual and won’t get in the way when the doors are open. Can’t wait to get them fitted. They’ll keep the sun out and the heat in during the colder months

For those who have blinds are they electric? I think that’s what we’re going for.
We looked at the indoor blinds in the showroom but as they take up space in the door they rather spoil the look as the sight lines are bigger. And what happens if they go wrong?

Ours are not electric. We have a luxaflex duette (I think). The bi fold doors on ground floor are blackout versions. The bi-fold doors on middle floor are not blackout, but needed in the summer to stop glare on tv etc. Due to width it wasn't possible to have one giant blind so we opted for 2 blinds on each set of doors.

Attached pic is of middle floor (non black out blind) one blind down the other up.

Oh that looks great @okokok000 - very discrete when raised

Yes that is why we went with them as no one really notices them and they are just a tad smaller than the top of the frame so they don't encroach at all. I just found the receipt. They are Luxaflex Duette. There are so many colours to choose from.

Thanks for this okokok000, solves my bifold door problem nicely!
