Light on room thermostat

We’ve just had a new Drayton rts thermostat fitted. It appears to work but a red light stays on even when the heating is off. I’m sure the old one had a green light which went off when the heating was off. Does this mean there is a fault?

more likely it has been wired differently. There are several different models available. If there is a type number on the front of yours, we can look it up and see what features it has.

but it looks like they do not have the type on the front.

If you care enough, you could choose another and have it changed.

Thanks so much, Piglet. Strangely when I turned the thermostat down this morning the light went off yet during the night when the heating was off there was a light.......all be it a little dimmer. I wonder if it’s a night light of sorts? Anyway, as it seems to work in other ways it’s maybe best to leave well alone............
