Woolwich?

What is Woolwich/Plumstead/Shooters Hill like these days? Near Shrewsbury Park.
We have a baby and would be looking to meet other young families.

We live down the road (Arsenal) and love it. We want to move up the hill (Shooters Hill way) in a few years but will are finding there aren't any good options for high schools. If that weren't an issue then I'd like to be Plum Lane/Vernham Rd etc. Tuam Rd just south of Plumstead Common has had some lovely places sell the past few months and they seem bigger than average/cheaper than if you're to the west of Plum Lane.

It's one of those funny places which get nicer as you go further away from Woolwich up towards Oxley's Wood, but if you need to commute into C London transport up the hill is rubbish.

Either way, we love the area. Have two young children and have lived here for several years now and it keeps getting better.
