In what way

UtilityLayout · 03/03/2021 01:43

The carpeted bath? I think that used to be fairly common.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 03/03/2021 01:43

Beautiful on the outside. It will be a ballache and expensive to renovate being grade 2 listed.

magicstar1 · 03/03/2021 01:43

It’s in need of renovation?

MorriseysGladioli · 03/03/2021 01:44

The shape of the house is beautiful.
Like something out of a fairytale.

Ellmau · 03/03/2021 01:54

Yes, I meant the carpet on the sides of the bath.

Definitely a property with potential.

What a gorgeous house, it’s so lovely

NetballHoop · 04/03/2021 13:35

It is a lovely house. It's a shame that it's so close to the main road though.

Midlifephoenix · 04/03/2021 15:53

Yes it was a thing. Such a tasteful carpet too!

Notabove25 · 04/03/2021 15:55

It's of it's time in a house that needs a full refurbishment.

I'm starting to think a lot of these "look at this awful house" posts are people deliberately raising the profile of the ad.

miserablecat · 04/03/2021 15:58

I'd be more bothered about the large non opaque window so potential for people to see you go for a poo/bath!

I love the shape and style of the house - not so keen on the modern extension they're proposing.

Proudboomer · 04/03/2021 16:36

My first flat back in the early 80’s had carpet up the side of the bath and as I was the one who put it there I can’t really say anything about this example.

Great house thou and once renovated it will be beautiful.

Psychonabike · 04/03/2021 16:45

Why sneer at this @Ellmau with the "interesting bathroom choice" snark?

You realise that in a significant number of situations like this, where a house hasn't been touched for decades and requires renovation, it's the family and loved ones selling a property when the longstanding owner/resident has died.

How lovely for the bereaved to come across a thread like this with a sneery "interesting..." comment.

ConcreteUnderpants · 04/03/2021 17:23

Beautiful house. Love it.
And that bathroom is nothing at all compared to some much more modern ones I’ve seen
