Insurance for water damage- what is covered?

We have water damage and stains from an upstairs neighbour after a water leak. Would their insurance normally cover just painting the damaged wall, or the entire room to match?

I had this, they painted the entire kitchen not just the leaked on, stained bits

Wouldn’t the building’s insurance cover this? I think you have to claim on your policy rather than the neighbour.

Entire room should be covered by insurance as it all has to match I assume.
