Waiting for offer to be accepted

Oh lord. I feel sick. We've been looking for 6 months but it's bloody competitive and London is a sellers market atm. Anyway... seen our dream house. On for 1.3 we offered 1.2 We aren't in a chain and are ready to go. There's been one offer similar to ours but they are in a chain.
We've just up-d it by £20k after vendor saying no to first offer. I'm pulling my hair out. We can't go much more than that.
Sorry I did a name change as I've discussed this with some friends and I don't want to put two and two together.
I'm sick of rented I just want to move!!!
Please can people offer stories of support!

Thats a good offer and chain free i would take it! It's a sellers market where I've been looking (SW London) with many houses getting multiple offers. Also agents very slow at putting 'under offer' on listing so I call about houses not available to view.

I am in the process of buying a house and I feel your pain as the waiting if offer was accepted is definitely the worst bit! No real advice but I’ll offer a handhold!

I too am waiting on finding out if the offer is going to be accepted or rejected. Put it in on Saturday but they had viewing already booked for today....... feeling your pain!

Thanks all. He's still thinking on it. It's an emotional sale for the vendor but he needs to sell. Not sure my nerves can take much more. GAHHHHH
