How long before completion did funds get released?

Hello

Been searching the internet but can't find an answer so thought I'd ask here.

Due to complete Wednesday, received a text to say 'your funds will be released 3/3/2021' / this is on Wednesday.

All my precious property's I've completed on have had funds released 2/3 days before completion date - never on the day!

Now I'm panicking if they won't be received in time. Has anyone else had a text from the mortgage updates to say that funds will be released on the day of completion?

I got a text to say the funds would be realised on 25/02 and we completed on 26/02, with no issues at all.
We could have completed on 25/02 however we were still awaiting a redemption figure from the old mortgage company!

Hope all goes well OP, ours has been a nightmare from start to finish!

Thanks for replying! I really hope the fact they are releasing them the day of completion won't cause problems.

Ours has been absolutely awful start - finish too I think that's why I'm worrying this will not go smoothly!! X

Yeah ours was the same day. We were second in a chain of three and had to wait until about half two for our solicitor to say we'd completed. It was a bit stressful but it worked ok. Didn't help that our vendors had used an estate agent bloody miles away and only then could I go and pick up the keys.

On my last purchase. We exchanged, released monies and completed all in the same day!
