More houses for sale?

Evening.
With all this talk of a extended stamp duty holiday do you think people will take a chance and get their property up for sale?

Is anyone considering it now?
I want to put mine up but there's not much on the market around here, I'd like the stamp duty saving but it's not a be all and end all for me.

Unsure what to do...

im mortgage ready...waiting to buy....there is nothing :(
im looking for land with a house....so anything that does come on is either overpriced or gone really quick :(

Hopefully more will come on in the next few weeks as the world begins to look brighter

Fingers crossed they do 😩
I live in a city and there is a grand total of 13 houses for sale within a 3 mile radius of where we want to move to.
We've been looking for 6 months and every house that comes on just goes for a ridiculous price.
We've been accepted on one but came up against major problems which searches/survey results.
I'm about to leave my lovely (but too big for us now) semi to move into a tiny rented place and sit it out.
The ones that are still on the market are dealbreakers/shit holes.
Missed out on another one yesterday. A four hour negotiation nearly tipped me over the edge with an arsehole vendor & other gazumping bidder who wouldn't stop after best and final.
The word stressful doesn't cover it. I'm broken with it all.

I've feel like we have been waiting forever, so little coming to the market over a certain price just the smaller houses. I'm hoping that SD announcement might spark more the start now, isamyone else hopeful?

I've watched every half decent house in my price range go under offer in a couple weeks of coming on the market while waiting for mine to sell. I'm under offer now and really there was so little to view. I've realised I have to make big compromises and have had offer accepted this morning- on the basis we all complete in time to take advantage of the (not yet official) stamp duty extension! My buyer and I are not getting mortgages so that's one hurdle we don't have to deal with but the pressure is on!
I think more will come on as it always does in Spring, especially when we come out of current lockdown, but I think even if you agree a sale now it's 50/50 whether you could complete by end of June.

I think there is a lot of pent up demand, people are doing what you’re doing,, wanting to list and waiting. I think as the weather is getting better, lock down is lifting and the stamp duty break extended folks will bite the bullet and list.
