There's a really grotty vacant building on my road. The surrounding land is a target for flytipping and it's just generally a bit grim. Planning permission has been received for it to be redeveloped into a number of flats. I was quite pleased about this because I think this will tidy up the area, improve the appearance of the buulding and make our road a bit nicer. Parking won't be an issue as that's included in the redevelopment.
However I was chatting to my neighbour who is raging. She's convinced these one and two bed flats will bring "undesirables and drugs" to the area. There's already two similar blocks of flats on the road so I don't see the issue. Am I missing something here??
